Registered Nurse – casual on-call

Trinity Village is a non-profit retirement community that includes independent living townhomes, a retirement residence, and long term care facilities in 3 locations.  Trinity Village Long Term Care Centre includes a 150 bed facility at 2727 Kingsway Drive in Kitchener, a 34 bed interim facility on Pioneer Terrace at the Freeport site of Grand River Hospital, and a 35 bed interim facility at Cambridge Memorial Hospital.  The resident care team is managed by the Director of Resident Care and includes both registered staff (RN/RPN) and PSW’s.

We currently have Registered Nurse positions available on a casual as-needed basis.  We’re looking for motivated, well-rounded individuals who are committed to providing compassionate quality care to the residents of our long-term facilities.  The Registered Nurse is responsible for overseeing the daily provision of nursing care to residents, including the assessment of individual requirements, implementation of appropriate treatments, the dispensing of pharmaceuticals, and accurate charting and recording.  The Registered Nurse also provides leadership and direction to the nursing and support staff for each of the 5 houses in the Trinity Village Care Centre and the two interim locations.

All candidates must be in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario, and be prepared to have a vulnerable sector check.  Prior experience in a long term care facility would be an asset.
